Hi ladies,

Well its been one of those weeks so far I haven't been feeling too good so I haven't gotton as much done as I would like.  I finished my funky chicken block

then I worked on my house blocks. drove myself crazy the other night trying to sew the sky and couldnt figure out what was going wrong then hubby says to me shouldn't they have chimneys?  He couldn't have told me that three rippings ago while hewatched me!!  I gave up that night and started again today. I only got a few done then had to stop again and lay back down.  Hopefully by the end of the week I'll be on my feet again.  well I hope you all have a great week and speak to you next time.

1.25.12 WIP

MOrning Ladies,

Well today is our 26th aniversary! I was hoping DH would be able to take the day off but they called him to work this morning as weather meant to be bad. So I will sew and clean instead! But I will get a steak dinner tonight so that will be good.

Lets see this week I finished cutting pieces for a year supply of some templets for the house a day block and then started to put the ones I'm behind on together I got two done only another 23 to catch up! I am sewing them by hand so it is taking me awhile as I  am having a hard time seeing the needle to thread!
I finally got my moms old magnier that you wear around your neck and put that on. It worked! I can't show a picture of the blocks as the lady hosting the bod asked that they not be shown until the end of the year.
I  have also been working on my embroidery picture. I have been setting a goal each day to get doneon it and have managed o get the house completed and most of the flowers. today the goal is the fence

so we will see.

Yesterday I finished getting my first funky chicken block ready to sew on I have cut all the back ground blocks and all the sashing just left the borders to do later.  I will get it sewed today . I could have screamed after I cut the good material as I realized I did it again  yup reversed the pattern!! I always forget to turn the paper over so I trace it going the right direction!! Oh well they will just have to all look the wrong way! I'm not wasting the material! I think this morning I will have to move the chicken over some on the block  looking at the picture he doesnt seem  centered right. My DH gave me a purple paisly scrap bag with attacheable pin cushion for my aniversary it will be perfect for the hand sewing this year.  I need to get a move on  now the storm is getting closer- so will probably loose the internet again.  Hope you all have a great week.

This week has gone by fast!  I haven't got much done this week. I have been busy cutting material for different boms and ordering material to finsih ufos.  I had to tell DH what I had done as I spent too much in one week. I was surprised he just laughed and said he had already put extra aside for this week as he saw me looking!! I guess that will be my aniversary gift!  I need to sort through what has come in already and put it with the proper project box.  I decided I have to cut back on what I will do this year for boms as I gathered too many!  I am doing  Esther's one  this time can't wait to see what material I will need for it. and then a few easier applique bocks ones that if I get behind I can catch up fast!  I am making small wall quilts for x-mas gifts this year I decided I woulod do that instead of buying gifts from store, more personal. If I start next month I might be able to get them all done!!

I wanted to start early today and get some of my quilting things done but I'm still in nightgown and I made the mistake of turning on the lights early and looking at my house!!  I guess I need to take a few hours this morning and get it all cleaned and scrubbed then I can work away for the rest of the week!
DH is working  16 hours today so I don't have to cook as he will get feed there and my son is on nights so I will have the place to myself.! Tv and sewing all evening!! maybe even a glass  or two of wine to helpo the evening along!!  well I hope you all have a great week.  speak to you soon

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if I would get to blog today we lost internet due to storms yesterday and they hadn't gotten it fixed until a few mins ago!  I got alot of odd work done today.  I decided after reading alot of e-mails from different groups that even though I had backed up my bom files I had better  do it again somewhere else just in case!  then I decided while I was at it to sort all quilt patterns to make sure I had all the same quilt in each folder!!  that was fun!  I realized that over time I had  printed some saved some and lost some for different quilts!!what should have taken 30 mins or so took all day! 

then I decided to sort them on my shelf in the binders so I could find the ones for ufos to be finished and ones for new boms I had saved and wanted to do this year . needless to say I found a bunch more that I would love to do I will have to really sort and decide what can and can't be done this year!

on sunday my son came in and asked to use some quilt material for his truck. needless to say the only material that matched his truck was the expensive one!  we ended up covering panels for his door

well time to get swupper ready. I have been working on my crinoline as well I had outlined the bushes and cottage but my husband and son both asked me when I was filling them in so I decided I had to fill them in. Just as well it looked better but I haven't figured out how I will fill in the bushes at the bottom of the cottage I will have to go back to that part later .

Not much this week. all quite. I have to take some time today and go through the x-mas gift corner of the room and sort through to see who I have forgotten!! I need to make two embroidery hoop pictures for extra gifts so I will cut material and iron on pics today /

I have a few movies recorded  on dvr so will sit and watch them this afternoon and work on them at the same time. Movies always makes it go faster!  I have to move my couch around first thing today I moved my sewing chair and tables a while ago but don't like the angle I find I get a crink in my neck  so am moving it all back!

I have been cleaning out clutter in the house all week. gave away a few boxed of books to make room on the book shelves for newer arthurs but I backed up all my books over time on e-book formate so I still have the older ones.  then got rid of all old vhs and cassettes that are no good anymore. boy did I get alot of spare shelving!! I have it all filled up now with craft boxes so I can find things alot easier.Well hope you all have a great week. speak to you again next time.

It's cold here now in Texas time to sit and hand sew for a while under my lap quilts and watch movies!!
I wish!!

We finally got all the insurance work done for my sons truck and he finally got his checks so I can have a bit of breathing room now and get on with my x-mas stuff.

Today I'm working on a lap quilt for a neighbour for x-mas. I had a bunch of  extra blocks sitting around and decided there was enough to make a nice middle of a quilt so thats what I have started on this morning. I will make solid borders to go around then I'll justr have to get a back material. I tried to get into my stash but all the boxes with presents to be wrapped are pilled in the way so I'll go in there later after kyle is gone to work. I'm sure I'll make too much noise for him as he is sleeping in the next room!  he is wearing ear plugs now as the machine woke him up I guess he thought I'd stop but I handed him a packet of ear plugs from his fathers drawer!! they come in handy!!

My husband bought us a wii machine for our early x-mas he got me the wii fit program and set it up at the weekend. the rotton thing tells him if I have exercised for that day !  needless to say I got caught  on monday so had to work on it yesterday@!  I will use it here in a little bit after I get the center of the quilt done it will help loosen my muscles ( I'll be like jello for a while good reason to sit still at the machine!!)  I did finish my afghan last week but I keep looking at it and think I'll have to add more rows it doesnt look wide enough for my liking I will have to lock  up the pets this time though if I work on it again they wouldn't leave me alone last time and it drove me crazy.  our poor tree is having a hard time surviving this year. Mocha (our youngest cat) ate the lights stole the star and threw the ornaments to the puppies to play ball with!  I will have to take it  apart later today and re decorate it I bought none breakable balls this time and a cheap set of small lights hopefully they will last better and then I duct tapped the tree stand and skirt to the table to make it harder for her to drag it down. so we will see! glad I didnt get a real tree like we used to she would have climbed to the top!!

wip 11/30/11

Another Week only a few left until x-mas!!  I'm nearly done  only two more main gifts to finish off then If I have time a few smaller ones to get.
Today in between fedex,ups and tow trucks I will be working on  my afghan for my sons girlfriend. if I finsih that I will work on my crinoline picture for my friend!  I finally got it  ironed on and all the threads picked out so now to get a move on and sew!  I will have a movie marathan while I'm working.

I did finish a smaller picture and have it dressed and ready to have framed. hopefully my husband will get that done on sunday. but we will see. it depends on the football games playing!! well hope  you all have a great week. speak to you next time.
